Micro-credentials for Trent Students

Looking for ways to make your resume stand out when applying for jobs?

Micro-credentials provide an opportunity to demonstrate the learning and skills you have, and that employers and further educational institutions are looking for.  Trent University offers a variety of micro-credentials to Trent students to help enhance their resumes and maximize their career advantage.
 
They are designed to be short and focused on specific topics to deliver the skills that you need  in a timely manner. They cover a wide variety of subjects, ranging from senior police leadership to knowledge management and communication of research.  They typically range in commitment from 6 - 30 hours to complete.

Workforce Readiness

Careerspace offers a free Workforce Readiness resource—a six-module course designed to help you practice, reflect, and develop the strategies you need for career success.
Please note this course is only available to Peterborough students.

Career Skills Development

The Career Skills Development (CSD) Micro-Credential offers a digital badge for participating in workshops and networking events, helping you practice, reflect, and develop key strategies to enhance your career preparation.
Please note this course is only available to Durham students.

EMOTIONAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER PROGRAMS
Emotional Health Practitioner Micro-credential

Launched in 2024 in partnership with Canadian Family Health Counselling, the Emotional Health Practitioner Program provides foundational training in Neural Network Therapy® (NNT), a therapeutic approach designed to reprogram the brain for optimal mental health. 

Teaching practical exercises about the brain, interpersonal skill-building, and more, this OSAP-eligible online training program is designed for use in private practice, personal development, group settings, or classrooms of all varieties.
