Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Training for Healthcare Professionals

This micro-credential equips healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to address health disparities and promote inclusivity in healthcare settings. Designed to bridge gaps in equity and accessibility, the program offers interactive, asynchronous self-paced online modules developed by experts in the field. Participants engage with various reflective activities and practical strategies for implementing best practices at the intersections of EDI and healthcare. 

Unique innovations include employer-responsive training, real-world applications, and content tailored to support local and regional workforce needs. Completion of this program provides a competitive edge in the job market and prepares participants for leadership roles in healthcare, ensuring impactful, equitable care delivery.

Course Objectives:

  • Equip participants with a strong understanding of EDI principles and their application in healthcare.
  • Develop practical skills in culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and accessible care.
  • Encourage self-reflection and actionable integration of EDI knowledge into professional practice.

  7. Accessible Healthcare for Persons with Disabilities
  8. Trauma-Informed Care
  9. Responding to Microaggressions
  10. Practical Application & Professional Development

Evaluation:

This course is a graded course where a complete or incomplete grade will be issued. To receive a Completion of this course, a student must:

  • Complete interactive/reflective questions
  • Complete all module quizzes

Course Details:

Location: online, asynchronous / self-paced

Time Commitment: Approx. 8 hours

The fee for the micro-credential is $395, and there are no additional fees for textbooks or materials.
