Next Steps

Your Path to Trent: What Comes Next?

Now that you've taken your first step and applied to Trent University you might be wondering what's next? To give you a sense of timelines we've highlighted what you can expect in the coming weeks and months. Be sure to track your application and review any outstanding documentation and check for transfer credits if they are needed.

YOUR NEXT STEPS

1) KEEP YOUR IDENTIFICATION NUMBER HANDY (OR STORED IN YOUR PHONE)

The identification number we sent to you in an email is important to know. You will need to provide your number when you inquire about your application. If your application is successful, this number will become your official Trent University Student Number.

Note: If you did not receieve the email with your Trent ID number, please contact admissions@trentu.ca

2) TRACK THE STATUS OF YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE

Set up a MyTrent account where you can track your application status, review outstanding documentation and check for transfer credits (if applicable). We will also share news and events related to your program of interest, so that you can immerse yourself in that area of study before you begin at Trent.

Please also review your application to ensure the information is correct. Any changes must be made through your OUAC account.

3) MARK YOUR CALENDAR

There are a few dates and deadlines to know. Find them all online, and set some reminders so they don’t sneak up on you.

4) DIG INTO STUDENT LIFE

A welcoming and supportive community awaits. Find out about events, housing, scholarships and financial aid and life in Peterborough or Durham.  Can’t find what you’re looking for? Send us an email and we’ll look into it for you.

International students: please visit the Trent International website or email international@trentu.ca for more information about admission , scholarships and the services, supports, and orientation program designed specifically for you.

5) COME SEE FOR YOURSELF

Most of our students say that it was the moment they stepped foot at Trent that they realized it was the place for them. We have one of the most beautiful campuses in Canada in Peterborough - and a growing campus presence in the GTA at Trent University Durham. We invite you to come see for yourself, and join us at our Discover Days events or for a campus tour.

There’s an added bonus, too. Each time you visit Trent, you can enter our contest to win first-year tuition. Register for our open houses and tours online at trentu.ca/discover

6) JOIN THE CONVERSATION

You can immerse yourself in the Trent community starting today! Learn about Trent, ask questions, find out about upcoming events, and become part of the conversation on Facebook or @DiscoverTrentU on Twitter.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you or your family members have any questions or concerns. We want to help make this what it should be – an exciting (not stressful) time in your life.
