Get experience. Be career ready.

Want to set yourself apart as a new graduate? Careerspace offers valuable learning tools with an opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience to put you at the top of the list.

Did you know? All Trent University students are guaranteed to have a career-related experiential learning opportunity before they graduate.

This unique program allows students and alumni to get an inside look at the career landscape, while gaining meaningful experiences and necessary perspectives. Opportunities are available both through the university and in the broader community.

Careerspace is available to you at any point during your time at Trent. We encourage students to not wait until their final year to connect with us.

How can Careerspace help me?

We offer appointments, workshops, online resources, and opportunities to connect with employers and recruiters. These services are free for all Trent students and alumni.

We support your career development by answering questions such as:

What are my options?

What can I do with my degree?

How do I get experience?

What is experiential learning ?

How do I find a job?

What can I do to get a job?

Should I continue my education beyond Trent?

How do I create a strong application for further education?

Doing our part to keep you safe

As Trent is doing its part to keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, students and alumni are encouraged to make use of our online resources and booking system, where possible.

And as much as we’d like to see you at our on-campus career centre and experiential learning hub in the Student Centre, rest assured you can still access all of our online career resources and our regular appointments are continuing remotely.

You can book your Careerspace appointment through the Student Experience Portal, as usual, and you’ll have a choice of booking a video chat appointment or a telephone appointment.

If you have any questions for our team, please email careers@trentu.ca, or visit our Frequently Asked Questions.
