Trent’s B.B.A. focuses on economics, management and entrepreneurship with a full slate of accounting courses that prepare you for the CPA designation or as a launch pad to an M.B.A, graduate school, advanced degrees in Finance, Marketing, HR and Accounting or CPA and CHRP designations. We are also the only university in Canada to offer a wide range of joint majors in Business Administration, allowing you to combine business courses with other areas of interest – from Media Studies to Environmental Studies and everything in between. The Trent advantage allows you to combine your passions and interests and cross boundaries, no matter which program or major you are interested in.
BUSINESS AT TRENT
Honours Degree
Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.): In your Business major, enjoy a breadth of business courses from economics, to management, ethics and marketing. Take a full slate of accounting courses to prepare for your CPA designation or human resources course for your CHRP designation. A single major degree that acts as a launch pad to an MBA and beyond.
Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) with Specialization: In your Business major you can choose to add one of eleven specializations such as Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing and Consumer Culture, Human Resource Management, Niigaaniiwin: The Art of Leading, Economics, Ethics and Sustainability, Information Systems and E-Commerce or Global Innovation or Logistics and Supply Chain.
Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) Co-op Streams: In your Business major, explore your strengths and career interests, and graduate with 12 months of work experience (and income) through the new four-year B.B.A. co-op stream, giving you the competitive edge for future job prospects. Students in the co-op stream, can also add a specialization. There are three limited enrollment co-op streams: Business (Honours B.B.A.) , Business Accounting (Honours B.B.A.) and Accounting and Economics (Honours B.A.). The Business co-op includes all specializations (i.e. human resources, marketing or finance) other than accounting. For more information on co-ops click here.
Business and Arts B.A.: Combine business courses with any arts courses from English and Cultural Studies to Sociology and Media Studies for a joint major.
Business and Science B.Sc.: Combine business courses with any science courses from Biology and Psychology to Environmental & Resource Science and Forensic Science for a joint major.
Accounting and Economics B.A.: This unique major combines core economics and accounting courses in a degree that will expand your understanding of the macroeconomy and financial markets while specializing your skillset in accounting, giving you the opportunity to customize your education to best suit your future career or academic pursuits. Also has co-op option as mentioned above.
Law and Business dual degree: This degree combines an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from Trent University, and Law from Swansea University College of Law in the UK. Students spends years 1 and 2 at Trent, travel to Wales for years 3, 4 and 5 and return to Trent for year 6.
B.B.A. & Master of Management Fast Track Program: Graduate with both an undergraduate Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree and a Master of Management (M.MGT.) graduate degree in just 5 years. This Fast Track options allow students to complete the Masters portion of the degree in 3 consecutive terms instead of 4. Students can apply out of high school for this pathway or while studying their B.B.A. at Trent.
General Degree
New for 26/27, students can complete a business major and graduate with a General Degree.
Minor
Business Administration: Combine business as a minor within your Honours degree with literally any other Arts or Science major.
