Summer OSAP

OSAP funding is available for students who are planning to study in the spring/summer semesters.   

 

Am I Full Time or Part Time this summer? 

To be considered full time for OSAP funding you must be registered in:

 

  • 1.0 credits in a 6 week session (studying in S61 or S62 individually); OR
  • 1.5 credits over the full 12 week session (studying for the entire S12 session)

Full Time OSAP, Extension Forms and Deadlines

If you currently receive Full Time OSAP, (fall or winter) you can submit an Extension form to receive further OSAP funding for your eligible summer term. A new OSAP application is not required if you have one already.  Extension forms will become available early March in the myTrent portal under the Finances tab.  Processing of your extension form will happen in the order we receive them, starting in early April.  You will receive updates on your extension form through your OSAP application on the OSAP website. 

 

*Please keep in mind that these deadlines are set out by the Ministry and our office will require a few business days to process paperwork, applications, etc. 

 

New to Trent for Summer - Must be in 1.5 credits over 12 weeks

 

Applications Due: June 2nd, 2023

Paperwork: Upload via OSAP portal - Ministry deadline 40 days
