OSAP funding for Sponsored Students (Band Funded)

OSAP and Band Funded/Sponsored Students

Students receiving band sponsorship/funding are eligible to apply for OSAP.  OSAP does not require you to report your band funding in the application and as such, it is not considered a financial resource. 

If you have reported your Band Funding in your OSAP application, you can request to have this removed by submitting an OSAP Change of Information for in the myTrent portal, under the Finances tab. 

 

OSAP and First Nations Tuition Waivers

If you are a student receiving a First Nations Tuition Waiver, this is not reported to OSAP and is not considered a financial resource. 

If you have reported your First Nations Tuition Waiver in your OSAP application, you can request to have this removed by submitting an OSAP Change of Information for in the myTrent portal, under the Finances tab.
