Faculty

Faculty in the Biology Department are engaged in award-winning research in viral biology, conservation of caribou and lynx, conservation of endangered plants, impacts of agriculture on birds, how animals react physiologically to fluctuating temperatures, the evolution of plant sex, wolf genetics, stress in the role of cancer, exercise physiology, the impact of heavy metals on cell lifespans, impacts of nutrient loading on lakes and streams, and the cellular mechanisms underlying neurological disorders.

By conducting cutting edge research we are able to bring to you, in our teaching, the newest developments in our rapidly advancing and always-changing discipline.

Below is a listing of our Faculty members followed by a very brief description of their research direction. Click on their names to learn more about their research interests, a list of recently published papers, contact information, and more.
