How to Find Community
There are many ways to make connections and find community at Trent. Check out some of our frequently asked questions and answers below.
How do I join a club?
With over 100 clubs and groups spanning academics and gaming to culture and language, there’s something for everyone at Trent. Meet new friends and explore your passions by becoming a part of something bigger. Don’t see a club or group that matches your interests? If what you’re into is new to Trent, you’re provided the means and encouragement to bring it to life. Discover a club for you!
What are the Colleges?
All Trent students, in all years, whether you live in residence or not, get to choose their college. Trent's five colleges are as unique as you are – each one offers different architectural styles, student spaces, residence room layouts and extracurricular activities. Explore the Colleges.
Can I talk to another student for support?
Definitely! You will encounter many helpful students but here are a few great places to start:
- Any College Office has Student Ambassadors that can answer your questions or refer you to the right spot. Find contact info for each college here.
- Trent offers a range of peer support programs. Check them out here.
- The Trent Central Student Association (TCSA) is a union run for, and by, undergraduate students at Trent University. Check out their services and activities here.
Are there transfer student events?
Yes. Study Café is a weekly gathering for mature and transfer undergraduate students who seek community as well as dedicated time and space for academic development. Study Café runs in the fall and winter semesters. Keep an eye out for Orientation and College events for mature and/or transfer students in the Trent events calendar.
