Why I chose Trent
When exploring my transfer options, I was amazed by the helpful support staff at Trent. Their patience and openness, as well as the beautiful campus, made the decision easy.

My favourite place on campus
My favourite space on campus is the Lady Eaton College Common Room, also known as the Pit. It's cozy and has a fireplace - plus, it's in my home college, so I'm a little biased!

What I like to do outside of Academics
The small campus allows for deeper relationships with both staff and students, creating a vibrant and open community.

My thoughts on the challenges encountered by new transfer students
Finding your 'people' in a new space can be challenging. My best advice is to try out anything that sounds interesting, and that going alone to events is totally okay! It's often the first step to meeting someone you click with.

A service, resource, or tool that helped me navigate my first year or first semester
Trent has amazing Academic Skills resources, with workshops, one-on-one meetings, and very kind staff. Attending Academic Skills workshops is a great way to feel oriented to both your new academics and your social community.

My one piece of advice for new transfer students
Remember that there are so many people at Trent that want to see you succeed. Reach out to the resources around you, like Counselling Services and CareerSpace, and try out some clubs that you're interested in. You're never alone!
