BSc Environmental & Resource Science Student
Where I studied previously
York University - Disaster & Emergency Management
Why I chose Trent
Trent fits all of my educational, financial, aspirational, and fundamental needs.
My favourite place on campus
The pit in Lady Eaton college. It's a calm and welcoming environment with a quiet learning space, group spot for hangouts, and even a piano to annoy people with (Not purposely).
What I like to do outside of Academics
I love rock climbing and hikes- both of which are easily available at Trent and off campus as well.
My thoughts on the challenges encountered by new transfer students
The fear of the unknown. When I transferred over, I had no idea what was to come, until, of course, Orientation Week came along.
A service, resource, or tool that helped me navigate my first year or first semester
The Admissions department helped me out with the transfer process like no other academic resource ever has. With timely responses, accurate and helpful information, as well as compassion and consideration of my needs, they helped me transfer.
My one piece of advice for new transfer students
Use all of the resources made available to you, and if you are unsure of what that entails- ASK!! Trent offers seemingly unlimited amounts of help whether it's academic or not.
