A student gathering via Zoom on 26 August 2020 with Betty Carr-Briant (Cultural Advisor/Indigenous Counsellor, First Peoples House of Learning) and Elder and Professor Doug Williams (Co-Director and Graduate Faculty for the Indigenous Studies PhD Program). Gidigaa Migizi, Prof. Williams, will be sharing knowledge, history, and teachings with us in a talk titled, "Exploring Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg History and Stories."

Join us for this very wonderful learning opportunity to begin our year together. Prof. Williams is a Former Chief of Curve Lake First Nation, is a member of the Pike Clan, a Pipe Carrier, Sweat Lodge Keeper, and ceremony leader. He is also the author of an important book given to in-coming students, _Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg The History of Curve Lake First Nation_.
