 Name Description
Immigration 101 Come learn the basics of immigration for international students at Trent. This information session will provide basic information on your immigration documents, academics and immigration, study permit working conditions, the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program, and more.
Study Permit Working Conditions Did you know that as international student in Canada, you may be eligible to work? Come learn more about working conditions eligibility, the importance of full-time enrollment, summer work, and more.
How to Extend Your Study Permit If your study permit will expire prior to you completing your studies in Canada, you will need to renew it for the length of your program of study. Join this information session to learn more about when and how to extend your study permit. 
How to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa from within Canada Your temporary resident visa is the document which allows you to enter Canada if you are from a visa requiring country. It is stamped in your passport. Join this information session to learn more about the process to apply for a new temporary resident visa. 
Intro to the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP) allows students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable Canadian work experience. Join this information session to learn more about the program, eligibility requirements, and how/when to apply. 
How to Apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit from within Canada Are you almost finished your degree and want to learn more about the Post-Graduation Work Permit application process? Join this information session and application tutorial. Prior to attending this session, please ensure you have an IRCC Secure Account. 
How to Restore your Student Status in Canada There are instances where a student does not extend their study permit prior to expiry. This is called going "out-of-status".  Join this information session to learn more about the restoration process and how to apply.
