COVID 19 - UPDATE
The Finance department, following COVID-19 protocol set by the University, will be opening the student accounts office for safe on campus service from September 8 to September 25. Service will be offered by both in-office staff and through remote delivery. If you would like to meet with a specific team member on campus, it is recommended you pre-arrange the time and date directly with them.
Office hours: Monday – Wednesday and Friday – 8:30-4:00 p.m. and Thursday 9:30 to 4 p.m.
Our office is currently working through a high volume of email and phone calls and will continue to respond to everyone. When leaving us a message, be sure to include your student number, name, contact information and a brief explanation of the purpose of your call or email. Freedom of Information / Privacy Act
The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) is applicable to Trent University. The Act requires the university to protect the confidential information of the student.
What does this mean?
For Students:
Your student account information is yours to manage. If your parent(s) are involved with your affairs and require specific information regarding your financial student account, you may wish to give authorization for others to contact the Student Accounts Office on your behalf. This may include relatives, faculty, public and private organizations. Students wanting to give authorization for others to contact the Student Accounts Office on their behalf must complete the Privacy Protection for Students form under the Academic tab on your MyTrent portal, tick the Student Accounts information box and submit.
For Parents:
If your student has not given their authorization to release information, our staff is available to interpret general information regarding our processes and procedures.
