Campus Home Location & Fees: What You Need to Know

Your campus home location determines the fees you are charged, and the student services you can access. These services include campus-specific communications, transit, athletics, academic advising, health and wellness, and student association membership.

Students may take courses at the Peterborough or Durham GTA campuses (or both), but each student can have only one campus home location per term. To ensure your fees and services are accurate, and please review and confirm your campus home location before the start of each term.

Eligibility to Change Campuses

To switch your campus home location, you must have completed or be currently enrolled in at least one course at the campus you wish to move to.  If you intend to change your home location for a future term but have not yet taken a course at that campus, you must first register in a course offered there.

Reviewing and Changing Your Campus Home Location

You can review or request a change to your location through the “Change Campus Home Location” icon in the College Life section of your myTrent portal.

• If your current location is correct, simply close the window—no further action is required.
• If you wish to change your location and meet the eligibility requirements, select the new campus from the drop-down menu, and submit to update your campus home location.

Important

• Requests submitted outside the change window will take effect at the start of the following term.

Change Windows for Upcoming Terms

After submitting a change, you will receive a confirmation email.

Limits on Changing Your Campus Home Location

To prevent excessive switching:

• You may change your campus home location once every 7 days.
• If you submit multiple changes before a new term begins, only your most recent submission will take effect on the term start date.
