(1) For students planning to study in Canada in person
Review the Trent Safe Arrival Protocol page to understand the steps you need to complete before entering the country.

This online guide will provide you with step-by-step instructions and important deadlines, helping you to be prepared and ready as a new student.
BY FEBRUARY 1, YOU MUST:

Apply for a study permit* : visit CIC for information on application procedures
- Submit $2,500 CDN tuition deposit to secure your place at Trent University
* when applying for a study permit, Canadian immigration authorities in some countries may not only require proof of deposit payment but also a payment of tuition and residence fees in full. If you require a receipt on your payment, login to your MyTrent to print a copy of your Trent student account showing the receipt of payment.
BY MARCH 20, YOU MUST:

Make your flight arrangements to arrive at Pearson International Airport, Toronto on or before April 16.* Note: Trent University will be closed on Monday, April 17th.

Order your Trent Card to get access to on-campus services, from printing and photocopying at the library to working out at the Trent Athletic Centre. www.trentu.ca/trentucard
- Arrange for off-campus housing or homestay accommodation.
- ESL Orientation and testing will take place on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
*More information about the airport shuttle service and ESL Orientation and testing will be sent to your Trent email account. www.trentu.ca/mytrent/activate

ESL online classes are available upon enrollment only. There is no guarantee that online classes will happen on every term.
