International Baccalaureate

Minimum overall score of 26 (including bonus points) in IB diploma, including three courses at the Higher Level. To waive English Language Proficiency requirements, English Language A (not English Language B) with minimum 5/7 grade is required.

Prerequisite courses can be presented at either the Standard and Higher Level. For programs with a Math prerequisite, Math SL or HL is required. Math Studies is not acceptable. For program specific requirements, please refer to this chart. IB Business Management and/or Economics at HL satisfy Math requirement for BBA only.

International students receiving an IB diploma will qualify for $1,000 IB scholarship and will be also considered for Trent's Entrance scholarships (details below).

Entrance Scholarships

30-32 (80% - 84%) = $1000
33-35 (85% - 89%) = $1500
36 -38 (90% - 94%) = $2500
39-45 (95% - 100%) = $3000

For programs with “Mathematics” prerequisite requirement, we will accept the following:

Analysis and approaches (Math AA) - HL
Analysis and approaches (Math AA) – SL
Applications and interpretation (Math AI) - HL

Applications and interpretation (Math AI) – SL: will not be accepted as a “Mathematics” prerequisite, but will be accepted where “Mathematics” is recommended.

IB Certificates

IB certificate courses (both Standard and Higher Level) can be used for admission only in conjunction with another high school curriculum. The name of the matriculation certificate/diploma must be provided at the time of application. To be eligible for admission you must successfully complete an academic high school curriculum (a min. GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0)* and receive a High School Graduation Diploma/Certificate. An IBO statement of results: “DP Course awarded” cannot be used as equivalent to High School Graduation Diploma/Certificate.  If you are currently enrolled in the IB Certificate/Course program, you must submit your predicted IB results (1-7 scale), confirmation that you are completing the IB Certificate/Course program, a current transcript including any mid-term/mid-year results and most importantly, the name of the matriculation certificate/diploma you will be obtaining upon completion of your current studies.*some programs will require much higher average.

Transfer Credits

Transfer credits may be offered for IB HL courses with a grade of 5.
