Entrance Scholarships

Automatic Entrance Scholarship (No Application is Required)

All undergraduate students applying to Trent are automatically considered for Trent University Entrance Scholarships that are awarded based on academic excellence. These range in value from $1,000 to $3,000 and are non-renewable. Final average calculated on academic subjects only.

Eligibility Information:

Undergraduate international students joining Trent for any intake are eligible.
Post-graduate certificate students and Masters/PhD students are not eligible.
Minimum high school final average of 80% (Canadian Equivalent) is required.
Students on a Year/Term Study Abroad at Trent are not eligible for entrance scholarships.
ESL students are eligible for consideration; however, the scholarship is tenable for undergraduate studies (and not for ESL).

Please note that:

If eligible, students starting in Winter 2024 will receive the first installment (50%) in Winter 2024. The second and final installment will be applied in Fall 2024.
If eligible, students starting in Summer 2024 will receive the first installment (50%) in Fall 2024. The second and final installment will be applied in Winter 2025.

If eligible, students starting in Fall 2024 will receive the first installment (50%) in Fall 2024. The second and final installment will be applied in Winter 2025.
The scholarship may be combined with the Prestigious Trent International Scholarships & Awards.
This is a one-time non-renewable scholarship. However, as a continuing international student, you may be eligible for an in-course scholarship after the end of your first year at Trent which is renewable (Application needed every summer). This scholarship is based on the academic average you maintain as a Trent Student.

Automatic IB Entrance Scholarship (No Application is Required):

All international students applying for admission to Trent based on IB diploma are automatically considered for an IB Entrance Scholarship. To qualify for a $1,000 IB Entrance Scholarship, students must complete an IB diploma. The scholarship can be combined with the Automatic Entrance Scholarship and Trent International Prestigious Scholarships and Awards.
