Top 10 Reasons for Choosing Trent University

A group of students sitting at desks in rows looking at a professorChoosing to study in Canada is a big decision, but you should feel secure knowing Canada is a safe country with a reputation for celebrating diversity and a long history of welcoming students from all over the world. Canada's investments in health, education, and other social programs provide an exceptional standard of living. In fact, we have been recognized for more than a decade by the United Nations as one of the most liveable countries in the world. Clean, multicultural cities and astounding areas of protected natural beauty - Canada offers you the chance to live in one of the world's most innovative countries with all the space you need to grow and learn.

To study in Canada for more than six months, you will need a study permit, issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.  A Canadian university education is firmly rooted in the integration of experiential learning, so you will find many ways to add practical paid employment to your studies.  Students in degree programs are able to work part-time during the academic year and fill-time during your summer breaks.  Under Canada’s Post-Graduate Work Program, you can also stay for up to three years after graduation to earn further professional experience.
