TrentU Card
Your TrentU card serves as your official university identification.
Your TrentU Card is also your:
- Library card
- Printing access card
- Trent Cash card for purchases on campus, and select off-campus locations
- Identification for gym membership for eligible members
- Door and elevator access for students in Residence
- Identification verification for UPASS use
New Students Beginning September 2026:
Your card has gone mobile!
You are now able to download the AVRO App and use your TrentU Card on your phone.

Returning Students
Your TrentU Card remains valid for the duration of your time at Trent.
If you have lost your card you can order a replacement card here
How to Receive your Card
- Upload your photo ahead of time by submitting your portrait-style photo online here! or via myTrent portal > Services > TrentU Card Photo Submission
To get your TrentU Card, you must submit a valid Government issued Photo ID with your TrentU Card Photo:
- Driver's license (photo)
- Certificate of Indian Status (photo)
- Ontario BYID card (LCBO) (photo)
- Passport (photo)
- Federal government employee ID (photo)
- Provincial government employee ID (photo)
- Municipal government employee ID (photo)

Upload your photo ahead of time by submitting your portrait-style photo online here!
Guidelines for electronic pictures:
- Your face must be clearly visible and facing forward.
- Your photo must show a clear image of your portrait including face and head.
- We cannot accept photos with hats (unless worn for religious purposes) or sunglasses.
- Students are encouraged to smile in their photos.

- Please do not hole-punch your cards - they will deactivate
- You can load money on your card at the TrentU Card Office in Peterborough, at the Durham Campus Print & SRC (A146), or online through the myTrent Portal

Transit Passes
Peterborough Transit passes can be picked up from the TrentU Card Office in Blackburn Hall Room #104.
All registered full-time undergraduate and postgraduate certificate students, will receive a Digital Universal Transit Pass (UPASS) for use on Durham Region Transit. Please see transit for information on how to access your Digital UPASS.
