Peter Gzowski College is named for the beloved Canadian broadcaster and former Trent Chancellor who valued listening, learning, and dialogue. Fittingly, the College is housed in Enwayaang, an Anishinaabe word meaning “the way we speak together.”
Here, Indigenous knowledge and community collaboration guide the learning experience. Gzowski students balance traditional teachings with modern ideas, working closely with the First Peoples House of Learning and other departments to create a culture of respect and inclusion.
The College motto, “the minds of the future are made great beginning today,” is actively practiced in collegiate programming. The College supports students interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership by offering micro-credential and certificate opportunities to enhance experiential learning and leadership.
