Vision Statement:
First Peoples House of Learning (FPHL) is honoured to offer cultural services to a diverse community of Indigenous learners (First Nations Status, Non-Status, Métis and Inuit). We collaborate with students to support their academic success, personal development and leadership potential.
FPHL Cultural Spaces:
Trent Durham’s campus has several developing Indigenous spaces for gathering and supporting cultural learning and activities on campus. These spaces are important to cultivating empathy, respect and positive connection between students, faculty, and staff. Current spaces include the 30-foot Tipi, on-campus medicine garden, and our Indigenous Student Study Room.
