Summer Connect
Join Summer Connect!
At Trent, new students have a unique opportunity to meet other incoming students, connect with their Orientation Leaders, and learn about the services and resources that make Trent a great place to learn before they even arrive on campus.
Summer Connect is a 12 week program that covers different student services and other aspects of university life at Trent. Summer Connect will take place on Microsoft Teams. Trent students can download Microsoft Teams through the Microsoft Student Advantage Programs.
The College Orientation portion of the Summer Connect Program officially launched as of Monday, August 9th! If you are an incoming Trent student, you no longer need to register for Summer Connect. You will be automatically added to a new Microsoft Teams chat through your Trent email address. If you are living on residence, you will be added to a College Microsoft Team with your peers in residence, Residence Life Dons and Orientation Week Leaders. If you are living off-campus, you will be added to an Off-Campus Microsoft Teams with other off-campus students and Orientation Week Leaders.
Be a Summer Connect UP Leader!
The Summer Connect UP program is looking for student volunteers who can commit 3-5 hours a week in the summer months (June-September) to act as Online Group Leaders. Summer Connect UP is a summer online transition program designed to support the transitions of students from first year to second year of university. Online Group Leaders (OGLs) act as the first point of contact for many second year students through emails, live chat and forum posts. Become part of an amazing team while also improving your communication and mediation skills! Applications open on March 11 2022 and close on April 30th 2022 at 11:59 pm.
