The Bring it On! The program provides students with a chance to learn and build strategies for academic and social success through participating in a wide variety of interactive and fun activities with other first year students new to Trent! Bring It On! Programming runs from July 21st-July 23rd 2023

Students spend the weekend in small, interest-based groups with other first year students, participating in a variety of activities across campus led by upper year students. Those who choose to attend “Bring It On!” statistically have greater academic and social success in their first year at Trent!
We ensure our activities are accessible to all new students! You will have the option to note in registration if there is anything we can do to best accommodate you during your time at Bring It On!
For students who are registered, or planning on being registered with Student Accessibility Services (SAS), as well as students who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit), we are able to offer financial subsidies for a portion of the cost of Bring It On and Bring It Early programming. For students registered with SAS, the entire cost of Bring It Early may be subsidized. And for students who identify as Indigenous, a large portion of the cost of Bring It Early and Bring It On may be subsidized. To apply for these subsidies students must email orientation@trentu.ca and we will provide the information necessary to receive the discount!

Are you Coming to Bring It On? Here is Some Important Information
The entire weekend is located in the Enwayaang building. This will be where you are staying and where the bulk of our programming is located. The address that you should put in your GPS or Wayfinder app is 1 Gzowski Way, Peterborough, ON K9L 1Z8.
Parking Parking for this event will be free throughout the entire weekend. If you are planning on leaving your car parked on campus overnight please mention it at check-in and we will provide you with the next steps.
Check-in for Bring It Early: Check-in will be happening outside right in front of the Enwayaang building by the parking lot on Friday, July 21st from 4 pm - 5 pm.
Check-in For Bring It On: Check-in will be happening outside right in front of the Enwayaang building by the parking lot on Saturday, July 22nd from 10 am - 11 am
Check-Out Check-out will be on Sunday, July 23rd from 2 pm - 3 pm.
Packing list
- Appropriate clothing for the weather (ex. Sweatshirt for cold nights, clothes for hot weather, sun hat)
- Toiletry items
- Swimsuit
- Beach towel
- Sunscreen
- Rainwear (be prepared for activities outside rain or shine)
- Comfortable shoes to walk in
Linens, a towel, soap, and shampoo will be provided by housing services
The theme for the weekend is “Under the Sea”, do with that what you will!
We will be having a themed dinner on Saturday night, be as creative as you’d like with the Under the Sea theme!

When is Bring It On!?
Bring It On! takes place from Saturday, July 21st at 10 am – Sunday, July 23rd at 2 pm and all incoming first year students are invited!
How much does ‘Bring It On!’ cost?
The “Bring It On!” fee is $170.00 + tax. This fee will cover accommodations such as: room and board, food, and all activities throughout the weekend.
What if I live far away and need to get to Trent before Saturday?
We have an additional program on Friday, July 21st called ‘Bring It Early!’ for an additional $70.00 + tax. This extra evening is helpful for students who may live far away from campus and cannot be dropped off on Saturday. ‘Bring It Early!’ is an excellent opportunity for new students to enjoy a longer weekend on campus and participate in light programming prior to the start of Bring It On!
