Mature & Transfer Student Orientation
Mature & Transfer Student Orientation Information
There are a number of programs available to new students to prepare them for the start of their academic life at Trent. While all these programs and activities are important and meaningful, some of the events may not be pertinent to students who are mature or transferring form another post-secondary institution.
While all orientation programming is open to any new Trent University students, there are several events that are specifically targeted to groups of students. On this page, you will find information about current orientation programs and how a mature/transfer student can be involved, along with a link to specific programming geared to engage and prepare mature students for the start of their academic life at Trent.
Registration is available now! Due to COVID-19 restrictions in place on campus, Mature Orientation and Transfer Orientation will occur online.

What you can expect from Mature Student Orientation is connecting with some faculty who teach first year courses, a panel of current Trent Mature students who have been where you are right now and opportunities to connect with other mature learners.
Mature Student Orientation is offered on Wednesday September 8 2021 from 9 am - 12 pm. Register online for Mature Orientation 2021 here. The session will be recorded but only distributed to students who register.

At Transfer Student Orientation you will have an opportunity to hear about services at Trent that will be helpful in your continued success at post-secondary education, hear from other Trent transfer students who know what it's like to be where you are right now and a session from the Registrar's office to answer any final questions about transfer credits.
