Transfer into Direct Entry Competitive Programs

The Change of Major form cannot be used for direct-entry, competitive programs which require an application. Application forms to transfer into these programs are available on MyTrent; see below for more information about when these forms are released and the requirements for transfer into these programs.

Transfer into Capped Programs

Students can find the application forms for Transfer into Capped Programs or Transfer into Nursing in MyTrent under Academics > Admissions.

The Transfer into Capped Programs form is available on myTrent from February 1 to May 15 for current students to apply to a direct-entry capped program. Learn more about what programs are included on this form. 

The Transfer into Nursing form is available on myTrent from October 1 to mid-February for current students to apply to Nursing. Please refer to the Additional Applicant Information section at the bottom of the Nursing Admission Requirements page.

For the following programs, please contact the department directly for information about Admission Requirements and how to transfer into the program:

  • Bachelor of Arts and Science
  • Bachelor of Social Work (Professional Years 3 and 4)
  • Trent/Swansea Dual Degree – Chemical Engineering
  • Trent/Swansea Dual Degree – Law
  • Trent/Swansea Dual Degree – Medical

Transfer into a Co-op Program

The Transfer into a Co-op Program application form is open on myTrent in December and early January each year. Review the Transfer into Co-op page for more information about when this form is released and the requirements and considerations to transfer into Co-op.  The form is accessible on the MyTrent portal under Academics > Admissions > Transfer into a Co-op Program.

Students who have questions about the Transfer into Co-op pathway can reach out to the Co-op Team, contact coop@trentu.ca, or visit the Careerspace office (TSC 3.10).
