Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) positions for 2026-27
The Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree program invites applications for CUPE 3908 Unit 2 Graduate Teaching Assistants for the 2026-2027 academic year.
You must be a registered graduate student at Trent University, and in receipt of GTA funding to be eligible to apply.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
Eligible new and returning graduate students must submit the following to apply for a GTA position:
- cover letter including a statement of interest, and your top 3 preferred courses
- up-to-date CV
- GTA Supplementary Form
Please submit your application package to bas@trentu.ca no later than August 1, 2026.
PLEASE NOTE:
- New this year, you will be required to submit a GTA Supplementary Form, which will be included in an email to all eligible graduate students, from the Office of the Deans, Arts and Science.
- Preferences are not guaranteed.
- The courses listed above have been conditionally identified for GTA support based on projected enrolment, and subject to budgetary approval by the Dean's Office.
- The hourly rate of pay for Graduate Teaching Assistants, in accordance with the CUPE 3908 Unit 2 Collective Agreement, may be found in Appendix A, Wage rates at this link: CUPE Collective Agreement 2024-2028.
