Research interests: Feminist engagement with all aspects of the criminal justice system, with a particular focus on the victimization criminalization and incarceration continuum. This includes historical and contemporary practices of punishment of women within Canadian prisons; how punishment has been organized and implemented in the lives of imprisoned women, and how women have resisted the conditions of their confinement.

Current projects are 1) exploring ways to increase sexual and gender diversity in representations of successful aging, 2) bringing together insights from science and technology studies and critical aging studies, with a focus on self-tracking, gamification and data-veillance, and 3) analyzing intersections between aging, gender and embodiment.
