Office of the Registrar

A transcript is a formal copy of your student academic record. It records all courses successfully and unsuccessfully completed, and all courses that were withdrawn after the course drop deadline. All Trent University transcripts include a record of every term that you have attended and include both undergraduate and graduate studies, as applicable.

Unofficial Transcript

An unofficial transcript is available for viewing in myTrent under Academics > Unofficial Transcript.  The unofficial transcript can be printed or saved as a PDF and used for a variety of purposes. Your unofficial transcript will meet the requirements of many external organizations, saving you from having to order a printed copy of your official transcript.

Official Transcript

Your official transcript can be accessed and ordered at any time in myTrent under Academics > Forms. The cost to request an official transcript is $16.00, including standard postage. You can pay for your order with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Visa Debit.  Official transcripts can be used to satisfy requirements of many institutions and professional organizations. Before ordering an official transcript you are encouraged to view your unofficial transcript.  The Office of the Registrar does not send PDF, scanned or fax copies of official transcripts.

For alumni and former Trent students, use the myTrent link above for direct access to the Trent portal.

Request Status

You can check the status of your transcript request by logging into myTrent and clicking on Academics > Forms > Transcript Request Status.  Look for the date in the Date Produced box.  If no date appears, then your transcript request is still being processed.

Mail or Pick Up

Transcript requests made online in myTrent are typically printed the next business day.  Regular Canada Post mail is included in the cost of the transcript, and delivery can take 3 to 7 business days from the time it is mailed.  There are also two expedited options in the drop-down menu under "Pickup Option" which are Courier - Domestic ($20.00) or Courier - International ($75.00). Transcripts may also be picked up in Peterborough (Blackburn Hall, Suite 101) or Durham-GTA (Front Atrium). Allow 2 business days for pickup in Durham-GTA.

If someone is picking up your transcript on your behalf, you will need to send an email from your Trent student email account to registrar@trentu.ca. Your email must include your full name and Trent University student number. It must also include a statement giving permission to a specific person (first and last name) to pick up your transcript.  Photo ID will be required from the person picking up your transcript before your transcript can be released to them.

Important Note: Transcripts are only kept in our office for a period of 1 year. Transcripts that are not picked up will be shredded.
