Important Dates & Deadlines

  • Summer registration opens early March
  • Fall/Winter Registration for the 2026-2027 Academic Year starts June 16, 2026

Undergraduate Important Dates & Deadlines 

Students are responsible for being familiar with, and adhering to, published dates and deadlines, especially in relation to adding and dropping courses. Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Science in Nursing students should contact their departments for pertinent dates.

Important Dates from the Undergraduate Academic Calendar

Fall Term 2026

September 4 - Payment due for Fall term fees for undergraduate and post-graduate certificates

September 6 - Residence move-in (Peterborough & Durham)

September 7 - Labour Day

September 10 - Classes begin

September 18 - Final date to submit requests for Fall term Letters of Permission

September 24 - Final date to change or add Fall term courses

                        - Final date to change or add full-year Fall/Winter session courses

                        - Final date for students to notify the Office of the Registrar of their wish to observe their cultural or religious holidays during scheduled examination periods

                        - Final course load check for scholarship eligibility- Fall

                        - Final date to submit grades for incomplete courses from Summer session

                        - Financial deadline: Final date to receive full tuition credit to student account for dropped Fall and full-year courses- no refund for dropped fall or the fall portion of full-year courses after this date

September 25 - Payment due for Fall term fees for OSAP and provincially funded students. Last date to register in term payment plan.

September 30 - Final date to submit applications for Fall in-course bursaries

October 12 - University closed: Thanksgiving Day

October 16 - Payment due for Fall term fees for sponsored students

October 23 - Last day of classes prior to break

                   - Final date to submit full-time OSAP application for students studying in Fall term only

October 26 - Residential Reading and Laboratory Week begins

November 2 - Classes resume 

                     - Final date to appeal final grades for Summer 2026 courses

                     - Final date to petition for late withdrawal from Summer courses

November 10 - Final date to withdrawal from Fall term courses- after this date students remain registered in Fall term courses and receive final grades

November 12 - Final date to submit documentation or requests to review full-time OSAP for students studying Fall term only

December 1 - Non-refundable deposit due for students beginning studies in January 2027

December 9 - Last day of classes

December 10 - Scheduled mid-term test and Fall-term half-course final examination period begins (Peterborough and Durham, including all Nursing programs)

                      - Final date to submit an Application to Graduate for January graduation

December 22 - Mid-term test and Fall half-course final examination period ends, 10:30pm

December 23 - January 1 - University closed: Winter Holiday
