Admission Information for Indigenous Students
Body

Trent values Indigeneity and the knowledge, perspective and voice you bring to the Trent community as a person of Indigenous Ancestry.

There are two application pathways for Students of Indigenous Ancestry (First Nations, Métis or Inuit, Status or Non-Status):

  1. Degree Program

Indigenous students who have followed a traditional academic path are eligible to apply directly to degree programs at Trent.

Please review admission requirements and then apply to Trent.

  2. Indigenous Diploma Program

The Indigenous Diploma Program at Trent University is a program for applicants of Indigenous ancestry who wish to pursue university level studies, but do not currently meet admission requirements. We acknowledge that many applicants may not have taken a traditional academic path towards post-secondary education and may benefit from studying in a supportive academic atmosphere for Indigenous students - this is offered through the Indigenous Diploma Program.

In either case, before applying, please contact our Indigenous Enrolment Advisor to activate application support. All diploma applicants are required to contact the Indigenous Enrolment Advisor to schedule an intake interview to connect with Indigenous Student Support Services.
