Articulation and Transfer Pathways Office
The Articulation and Transfer Pathways Office serves as Trent University's primary contact for academic partnerships and is responsible for facilitating the development of articulation agreements, transfer pathways, and joint-program agreements with both domestic and international partners. Trent University maintains more than 270 transfer agreements, along with several joint program offerings, with postsecondary partners across the globe. The Office also serves as the university's primary liaison with the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT), leading supporting research and sector-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing learner mobility and improving transfer student experience.

Team Lead, Coordinator, Articulation and Transfer Pathways
Tawny has had the opportunity to experience a variety of postsecondary environments, earning a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Literature at Trent University, a Bachelor of Education at Ontario Tech University, and a Master of Education in Postsecondary Studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She is passionate about lifelong learning and believes that transfer opportunities should be as accessible as possible, regardless of a student’s educational pathway. Tawny collaborates with partner institutions and academic departments to develop and maintain innovative transfer pathways and articulation agreements. Her work incudes developing resources, conducting research, participating in externally funded projects, and analyzing data to ensure pathways meet student needs and support student success. She is a currently a member of the ONTransfer Advisory Committee and serves on several Program Advisory Committees at partner institutions across Ontario.
Maryam McManus, B.A. (Hons)
Articulation and Transfer Pathways Assistant
Having experienced the transfer process firsthand, Maryam is passionate about reducing barriers for transfer students. Maryam completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and Sociology at Trent University after transferring through the Durham College General Arts and Science University Transfer pathway. She is also a proud alumnus of the Master of Education in Adult Learning and Global Change program at the University of British Columbia. On a typical day in the Articulation and Transfer Pathways Office, you will find Maryam facilitating transfer credit assessments, collecting data, conducting research, and ensuring that all pathways and resources are current to ensure student access at Trent. She is also a member of ONCAT’s Transfer Advisors Group and values opportunities to learn more about providing effective opportunities for transfer.
