Join us on campus for Winter Orientation day. Orientation is designed to help you feel prepared, inspired, and ready to make the most of this exciting new chapter.

Here's what will be happening at Winter Orientation:
- Trent Welcome: Our Associate Vice President, Students wants to officially welcome you to Trent University. Join us in Stohn Hall in the Student Centre as we welcome you to Trent and meet other January-start students.
- Student Experience Panel: Learn about our wide range of student supports and services and how to access them.
- Consent at Trent: At Trent University, we want to create a culture of consent. This means respecting people's boundaries, communicating about consent, and standing up against sexual violence. In this session, you will learn about what Consent at Trent does, and how they can assist you during your time at Trent.
- Getting to Know Your Campus: Join current Trent students as they show you around! You will take a walking tour of campus and explore study spaces, the library, where to eat, and they will help you find where your classes are.

What to Bring
To have a successful day on campus with us, we suggest you bring:
- Water bottle
- Snacks,
- Notebook and pen, or a laptop.
- Weather appropriate clothing (the afternoon "Getting to Know Your Campus" session will be outdoors)
Things to Do BEFORE You Arrive
To help have a smooth transition, here are some things we suggest you do before you arrive to campus for Winter Orientation.
- Review the Academic Calendar and register for classes: Course registration is open for January classes. If you need support selecting or registering for classes, visit the Academic Advising website.
- Submit you Student ID Photo: Your Trent ID card serves as your official university ID. It is your library card, gym access, door access, and also allows you to easily pay for everything you need on campus. Upload your photo to the Trent Card Portal to ensure your card is ready for your arrival. Cards can be picked up from the Trent Card Office in Blackburn Hall.
- Review your class syllabus: Each class will have a course syllabus. This is where you will find
- Order your textbooks and class materials: Class textbooks and materials need will be outlined in your course syllabus. Materials can be found at the Campus Store.
- Review University Important Dates & Deadlines: It is important for you to know university wide dates and deadlines regarding course adding and dropping, financial deadlines, and holidays. Visit the Office of the Registrar website to make note of important dates and deadlines for the winter semester.
- Connect with Student Accessibility Services if needed: If you are a student who requires academic accommodation support, you must register with the Student Accessibility Office. Visit their website for contact information and information on how to register.
Directions & Parking
Winter Orientation is taking place in the Student Centre, which is located on the West Bank side of campus. The address for the Student Centre is 1680 West Bank Drive, Peterborough, ON.
Parking is available on campus. If you do not have a parking pass, you may park in the Pay & Display lots on campus. The daily fee for parking is $12.00.
