Pop-In for Support: Tools for a Strong Start

Otonabee College, Commons (OCA W201)
Starting your post-secondary journey comes with a lot of questions and we're here to help. Pop In for Support brings together key student services and supports that you have access to as a Trent student in one easy space.
At this pop-up, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Be officially welcomed to Trent at our Trent Welcome
- Meet staff from student supports and service areas
- Learn where to go (and who to ask) when you need help
- Get answers to common questions about academics, wellness, finances, accessibility, and more
Grab a popsicle, pop by a table, and leave feeling more confident about the supports available to you!
Pop-In to Connect: Belonging Starts Here

Trent is more than classes - it's about finding your place and your fit. Pop-in to Connect is all about helping you discover ways to get involved, meet new people, and build your community on campus.

- Discover the wide range of clubs and groups that you can join
- Chat with student leaders about getting involved
Whether you're looking to meet new friends, join a clubs, or just see what's here for you, this event is designed to help you find your fit - your way!

Pop-In and Celebrate: Summer Kick Off

Celebrate your first week of summer classes! Pop-In and Celebrate is a social, relaxed welcome event to wrap up our Summer Orientation Pop-up Series.
Join us for a lunch and some sweet treats as we celebrate the summer. Pop-in, treat yourself, and celebrate starting your Trent journey!
Registration is encouraged.
What to Bring
To make the most of our Summer Pop-Up's, we suggest you bring the following items:
- Water bottle
- Notebook and pen
Things to Do BEFORE You Arrive
To help have a smooth transition, here are some things we suggest you do before you arrive to campus for Summer Start Orientation.
- Review the Academic Calendar and register for classes: Course registration is open for Summer classes. If you need support selecting or registering for classes, visit the Academic Advising website.
- Submit you Student ID Photo: Your Trent ID card serves as your official university ID. It is your library card, gym access, door access, and also allows you to easily pay for everything you need on campus. Upload your photo to the Trent Card Portal to ensure your card is ready for your arrival. Cards can be picked up from the Trent Card Office in Blackburn Hall.
- Review your class syllabus: Each class will have a course syllabus. This is where you will find
- Order your textbooks and class materials: Class textbooks and materials need will be outlined in your course syllabus. Materials can be found at the Campus Store.
- Review University Important Dates & Deadlines: It is important for you to know university wide dates and deadlines regarding course adding and dropping, financial deadlines, and holidays. Visit the Office of the Registrar website to make note of important dates and deadlines for the winter semester.
- Connect with Student Accessibility Services if needed: If you are a student who requires academic accommodation support, you must register with the Student Accessibility Office. Visit their website for contact information and information on how to register.
Directions & Parking
Summer Start Orientation is taking place throughout campus, including Otonabee College, Lady Eaton College and the Trent Student Centre.
Parking is available on campus. If you do not have a parking pass, you may park in the Pay & Display lots on campus. The daily fee for parking is $12.00.
