Employment Equity Survey
This page will outline the steps to for an employee to complete the employment equity survey in VIP.
We strongly encourage all employees complete the survey, as the collection of baseline data is crucial in advancing Trent’s ongoing equity, diversity and inclusion efforts. The confidential survey data collected will be stored securely by the Department of Human Resources and only released or reported in an aggregate and anonymous basis.
Step 1: Access VIP, through the MyTrent Portal. If you require more information on how to access MyTrent and VIP, please check out the instruction document called “How to Access VIP and View Your Paystub”.
Step 2: Once you are in VIP, navigate to the employee portal, then click on “My File”.
Step 3: Employees that have never filled out the survey will automatically be prompted to fill out the survey. Employees that have previously filled out the survey can click on the blue "Employment Equity Survey" heading.
Step 4: Click on "Complete Survey".
- Employees are only able to fill the survey out once a day. If you made an error on your survey after submitting it, you can click on the blue date of the survey, scroll to the bottom and "Delete" your survey response before completing the survey again.
- Should you wish to change your responses on a future date, you do not need to delete your previous survey. Simply click on "Complete Survey" again to maintain historical responses.
