Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

Dimensions Charter: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Trent University is proud to have signed the Dimensions: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Canada Charter, which recognizes that a multiplicity of perspectives, lived experiences and the overall complexity of diverse individuals foster increased research excellence, innovation and creativity within the post-secondary sector. The Charter actively encourages committed universities to take a multidimensional and intersectional approach to equity, diversity and inclusion to achieve a future research community where all can thrive. Signing the Charter further strengthens Trent’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

Trent’s Canada Research Chair Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan

Trent University is strongly committed to raising awareness around equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) concerns across both the Canada Research Chair (CRC) program and its broader research community. We recognize that by fostering a diverse and inclusive research culture, we create opportunities and an environment that allows students and faculty to develop and flourish as individuals and global citizens. In order to ensure this commitment in the CRC Program, Trent University has developed, and implemented, an action plan that focuses on improving the governance, transparency and monitoring of equity and diversity within the program.
