Dress Code

The Trent Fleming School of Nursing has a professional dress code. For a full list of the dress code, students should refer to the student handbook.
Students must dress in uniform for all Trent Simulation Hub activities.  Proper uniform consists of:

  • Proper identification badges, must be worn at all times.

  • Scrub uniforms must be clean, and neat. Students must wear the TFSON School Uniform which consists of Black scrub pants, a white scrub top on which the TFSON logo is embroidered and a year ‘badge’ on the right arm.

  • Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are required for infection control and safety purposes. Shoes must be solid in colour, with no pattern(s). Shoes may be dark blue, black, dark grey or white. Coloured soles are acceptable if they are slip resistant and non-marking.

  • Hair, including facial hair, must be well-groomed. For infection control, hair below the collar must be completely tied back.

  • Stud type earing are permitted.  Nails must be kept short, and clean free of nail polish.

  • Clothing must fit appropriately – loose enough to allow unrestricted movement for lifting and bending, but not too loose to be revealing.

  • A watch with a second hand and a pen are required.
