Congratulations, and welcome to the Trent/Fleming community. This site is intended to provide you with the basics of what you need specifically for the Nursing program to start off on the right foot in September.
Academic Advising
Students who are looking for academic advice specific to the nursing program should contact our Admissions Office or our Academic Coordinator.
Non-Academic Requirements
Nurses deal with patients/clients who have low immune system functioning or may have infectious diseases. It is imperative that nurses protect themselves and their patients from harm. As such, there are a number of non-academic requirements (NARs) that need to be completed and updated on an ongoing basis while enrolled in the program.
Student Handbook
The student handbook is in place to provide students with important information about the program, as well as outlines the key policies and procedures.
International Registration & Licensure
While the Trent/Fleming School of Nursing (TFSON) has developed programs to prepare graduates for the Canadian health care system and not those of other countries, we understand that sometimes graduates may seek registration beyond Canadian boarders.
