Smoking at Trent University is governed by the University's Smoke-Free policy, which can be found in the University’s policy library

Smoking at the University is only permitted in the following Designated Smoking Areas:

Each area is identified by a Designated Smoking Area sign.

Smoking tobacco or cannabis using electronic cigarettes (vaping) is prohibited in the following areas:

University buildings
Within 9m of doors, windows, and the air intakes of building ventilation systems
University vehicles
Sports fields and within 20m of a sports field
Playgrounds and within 20m of a playground

Note: There are no Designated Smoking Areas on the Trent Durham GTA campus. Smoking and vaping are prohibited on Trent Durham GTA property.
