Training Instructions for Experiential Learning Opportunities

This document describes the process of enrolling in a self-enroll course on the Blackboard learning system, specifically for students involved in Experiential Learning Opportunities.

For staff guidance on completing mandatory training through VIP, refer to the Human Resources website.

Blackboard How-To

Please note - Academic courses are not permitted to include self-enroll and will not function with this process. In order to be enrolled in an academic course, the user must formally register in the MyTrent system.

Process

1. Login to Blackboard and select the Courses tab from the top menu.

2.  To enroll in the course, select Course Catalog from the upper right corner of the Courses page.

3. In the Search Catalog box, enter "Experiential Learning (EL) Mandatory Training" and select Go.

4.Once the results are displayed, select the down arrow beside the course title. This arrow becomes illuminated when you hover your mouse over the course title.

5.Click the Enroll button and then Submit.

Please confirm with your academic department which courses are required to complete for your experiential learning opportunity.
