Are you a Primary/Junior Teacher Candidate passionate about inspiring young minds and shaping a sustainable future? Join the Future Chicken project, an innovative "ecotainment" universe designed to ignite joy, curiosity, and meaningful action in children ages 6 to 10. This exciting initiative is a collaboration with ClearWater Futures Foundation, Wind Sun Sky Entertainment, and ClearWater Farm, with the program’s Learning Innovation Committee led by Trent University professor Dr. Blair Niblett. Dr. Niblett is joined by Trent’s Tara Flynn and other dedicated members of the Trent community.
About Future Chicken
At the heart of the project is Future Chicken, a time-traveling chicken hero, and her Planet Protector friends, who inspire kids to bridge the "hope gap" by showing them they have the courage, creativity, and power to care for our planet and shape a brighter tomorrow. The project focuses on creating engaging educational resources rooted in K-3 curricula, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and centered on discovery learning themes like water, food systems, healthy communities, clean energy, and cycles.
Learning Outcomes
This is a unique opportunity to help foster a deep and lasting connection between children, the environment, and all living beings. By linking classroom learning to global challenges, you’ll play a key role in sparking imaginations, empowering kids to dream big, and inspiring them to take bold action for a sustainable future!
