Bruce Ahlstrand likes to prospect for strategy gems in unlikely places — from the game of Texas Hold’em to the Greek tragedies. He is devoted to developing new and creative ways of teaching business strategy and never met a case study that he liked. He is the co-author (with Henry Mintzberg) of the international best-selling book Strategy Safari: A Guided Tour Through the Wilds of Strategic Management. This book was recently voted as one of the top ten strategy books of the millennium. It has been translated into over 15 languages. His last book, Strategy Bites Back: It Is Far More, And Less, Than You Ever Imagined was recently nominated as the business book of the year in Europe. He is also the author of the British industrial relations classic The Quest for productivity (Cambridge University Press) and co-author of Human Resource Management in the Multi-Divisional Company (Oxford University Press).
