Group Canoe Rentals

Explore the Otonabee

Looking for a unique outdoor experience for your group? Paddle the scenic Otonabee River with Trent Athletics’ group canoe rentals – perfect for team-building, school outings, or club adventures.

Rental Includes:
  • Canoe, paddle, and life jacket – just $45/day per canoe
  • Supervision by certified lifeguards (required for all rentals) - $30/hour per lifeguard
Safety First

All rentals include NLS-certified lifeguards who accompany your group on the water in separate canoes. Lifeguard wages ($25/hr., subject to change) are covered by the renting group. A minimum of two lifeguards will be scheduled, with more added based on group size.

Rental Guidelines:
  • Group rentals only – no individual rentals available
  • Canoes must stay on the Otonabee River near Trent University
  • PFDs must be worn at all times on docks and on the water
  • Up to 10 canoes available per group
  • 2 people per canoe recommended (max. 3)
  • No swimming, diving, alcohol, smoking, or vaping
  • Respect private property and other river users
  • Remain seated while in the canoe
  • Handle canoes carefully to avoid damage
