Students are Members at the Athletics Centre

Living your most fit life isn’t a concept reserved for professional athletes or personal trainers. At Trent Athletics, we believe wellness is for everyone.

When it comes to health and wellness, the Athletics Centre offers something no other community or university centre can – state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor facilities combined with access to the Otonabee River, diverse nature areas and kilometres of winding trails right at our doorstep. As an student at Trent University and a member of the Athletics Centre, you have access to it all.


Friendly Reminder: Dress Code

Only t-shirts and sleeveless shirts which cover the entire stomach, chest and back are permitted. This is to prevent MRSA, a type of staph infection that's become resistant to many antibiotics, from being passed from skin to pad/mat contact. 

We also request that proper athletic shoes are worn at all times in order to protect your feet and our floors.

Open Gym Times for Students

Time is set aside each week for Trent students to access the gymnasium for open gym time during the academic school year. During open gym time, Trent students can use and share the gymnasium space for sport and physical activities of your choosing. You can play basketball, badminton, or indoor soccer. Equipment is available to use at no charge. Just check in at the Sales Centre desk and our staff can assist.

Open gym times may vary from week to week if special events are taking place, so please check the Athletics Centre website for weekly open gym schedules.
