Active living doesn't start and stop at the gym. At Trent, you can get moving no matter where you are -- by accessing a network of trailers perfect for walking, biking and hiking, or going to the Athletics Centre for a workout or to join in a group fitness class.
Trent's state-of-the-art Athletics Centre offers a wide variety of dynamic group fitness classes and personal training, as well as a range of online programs and workshops including yoga, Spin, Pilates, Zumba, bootcamp, and HIIT. Every Trent student has a free consultation and orientation to the Trent Athletics. Stop into the Fit Desk located in the Sport Centre to get connected.
Drop-In Gym Times
If you're looking to stay fit, meet new friends and have fun all without having to commit to a team all semester, then gym drop-in programs are for you! Drop-in programs, hosted in Justin Chiu Stadium and the gymnasium, are free for Trent students and community members. Some times are open gym, meaning that individuals can choose the sport they wish they play on a first-come, first-served basis. Other times are programmed for a specific sport. Drop-in programming includes: Futsal, Pickleball; Badminton; Basketball; Table Tennis; Cricket; Dodgeball; Ultimate Frisbee; Spikebal and Soccer-Baseball.
With a wide variety of sports and recreation programming, drop-in programs offer multiple opportunities for students and members to try something new or participate in your favourite sport.
Fall Group Fitness Schedule
Fun, motivational group fitness classes are the perfect addition to any fitness routine. Our certified instructors lead a variety of classes for different fitness interests and abilities -- from Yoga and meditation to Bootcamp and HIIT. You'll find classes that are as intense, or relaxed, as you are. Our engaging instructors and supportive class environment provide the perfect combination of motivation and fun! The best part is that group fitness classes are included with every Trent student and community membership! Don't have a membership? Drop-in to any group fitness class by purchasing an Athletics Centre day pass.
Drop-in fitness classes are 45 - 55 minutes in length and run on a first-come, first-served basis.
