Boyd Millar received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. Before joining Trent, he held teaching positions at Northern Illinois University and Washington University in St. Louis. Much of his recent research has focused on social epistemology (in particular, on the threat posed by misinformation and our shared obligation to respond to that threat) and the philosophy of perception (in particular, on the role that sensory phenomenology plays in perception, and on the ways in which the perception of objects differs from the perception of properties).
