Biography
Dr. Tracey completed PhD in Nursing, University of Toronto, with a Collaborative PhD in Global Health and an International Nursing PhD Collaborative from the University of the Balearic Islands, Majorca, Spain. She is currently completing a Global Public Health Leadership program through the department of continuing education at Harvard University.
Area of research focuses on the role and impact of North American NGO (non-governmental organizations) led Short- Term Medical Missions in LMICs (low- and middle-income countries) with a focus on improving quality and providing sustainable approaches to international partnerships. Additionally, her work and research focus on safe medication access and practices with a focus on the root causes of health for communities for example access to clean water and sanitation. She is completing a longitudinal study on the use of Hydraid biosand filters in a rural community in Honduras.
Dr. Tracey led the GARDaccess Guidelines workstream and delivered the development of Guidelines for Rare Diseases https://www.pqmd.org/pillars/donation-guidelines/
