
Leading multiple financial services firms in various executive roles such as Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Internal Auditor, and as a lawyer and CPA, Anne Ramsay is no stranger to the world of finance. Most recently serving as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Ocree Capital Ltd., Ms.Ramsay is a seasoned executive who has led numerous teams in areas such as risk management, law and governance, regulatory compliance, financial accounting, and auditing services for companies of multiple scales. In recent years, Ms. Ramsay has served on several private company boards and policy advocacy committees, and has been focused on innovation, start-ups, and companies at various stages of growth.
Beyond this experience, Ms. Ramsay has dedicated many years to bettering her community as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health, as well as the Task Force of Financial Executives for Mental Health.
Ms. Ramsay not only holds a BA in Chartered Accountancy Studies and a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo, she has also earned a Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. Additionally, she holds Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Director, Institute of Corporate Directors and Sustainability & ESG Designations, and is a practicing lawyer. She is currently working on a Generative AI Certificate.
Ms. Ramsay has been appointed to the Trent University Board of Governors for a 3-year term, effective July 1, 2023.
