Jazmine Raine is currently a PhD student in interdisciplinary studies and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Trent University. Throughout their institutional career at Trent, Jazmine has provided insight on numerous committees such as the Research Ethics Board, Graduate Studies Committee, Cyclical Program Review Committee, and the Teaching and Learning Advisory Committee.
Jazmine continues to spread their knowledge and passion for an inclusive and supportive academic environment as the current President of the Trent Graduate Student Association, formerly serving as the Equity Commissioner on the TGSA for 2 years. Jazmine is also a Student Charter Support Person, a member of the Trent Center for Aging and Society, and a Teaching Assistant in the Gender and Social Justice Department.
In addition to Jazmine's outstanding contributions to the academic and student experience at Trent University, they have been recognized for their academic excellence through numerous awards, including the Social Sciences Research and Humanities Council CGS Excellence from Wilfrid Laurier University following the completion of their Master's degree in Cultural Analysis and Social Theory.
Jazmine has been appointed for a two-year term on the Trent University Board of Governors effective July 1, 2025.
