Trent’s School of the Environment is a national leader in environmental teaching and research - it's what we do. If you’re passionate about the environment, it’s where you should be studying.
Description

Learning from leading scholars, including multiple Canada Research Chairs, students in Environment & Sustainability programs tackle pressing questions of today and tomorrow through an interdisciplinary lens that combines learning in both the sciences and the humanities. Courses and hands-on experience will prepare you for a variety of career paths in the lab, in the field, or in government offices.

It’s not just about what you’ll learn, it’s also about where. Trent offers something that no other Ontario university can: a 1,400-acre Peterborough campus featuring 11 distinct nature areas, including forests, farms, wetlands, and rivers. Add in world-renowned facilities like our Water Quality Centre, Wind Tunnel, and Research Farm, and you’ll have unparalleled opportunities to get hands-on during your studies.

And yes, that includes undergraduate students, who will put on hip waders, lab coats, and rubber boots to engage in research and fieldwork.
