Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) Positions
Application Process *PLEASE READ – MAJOR CHANGES* :
New and returning graduate students must submit the following to apply for a GTA position:
Step 1: Complete the GTA Supplementary form: Graduate Teaching Assistantship: Supplementary Form (2026-2027)
Step 2: Complete the School of Business GTA Application form: School of Business and Department of Econ Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) Application – Fill out form
Step 3: You will receive an email from schoolofbusiness@trentu.ca to the email you specified in the above form. Please reply to that email and attach the documents required.
Review of applications will commence on August 1st 2026. All three steps must be completed for your application to be considered complete. Any incomplete applications will not be considered.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Your statement of interest should include your top three course preferences for each term. Please also keep in mind the qualifications listed for each course.
- Preferences are not guaranteed.
- The courses listed above are conditional to have a GTA pending budgetary approval and projected enrolment.
